Grand Bristly Emperor Earrings - Black, grey, green, red, yellow mix

Sustainably sourced ebonised ash, sewing thread, linen thread, oxidised sterling silver posts and backs.

My Brush Collection of jewellery is inspired by a love of brushes and stems from research into traditional brush making techniques. I have named them after some of my favourite UK moths.

These earrings are made from sustainably sourced ash wood, which has been sealed with a light layer conservator-grade micro-crystalline wax. The brush fibres are unwanted sewing thread from friends, neighbours and charity shop finds. The knots of brush fibre are attached to the ash base with green linen thread for a pop of colour.

Dimensions of wooden base: 57mm x 10mm x 6mm

The brush fibres are 15mm long

The earrings are presented in a Jane Sedgwick branded box and have their own comb.
